Dear reader, this month marks two years since the advent of Tollipop. Don't worry, I'll spare you the litany of cute things this blog has been doing lately ~ the new teeth, the counting to ten in French. The tantrums.
I think at this point I am supposed to marvel over the passage of time, to exclaim it couldn't possibly be two years already, when in fact I don't feel that way at all. This blog, for me, is a lovely place to visit, a box of jewels to open and exclaim over (only instead of jewels, the box is full of exquisite words), a world where everything is edible, even the grass, and the river running through it is made of fine chocolate. It is a place where time itself doesn't really seem to matter.
It is a place where I dwell upon what makes me happy and what is beautiful in life. Occasionally, too, I lament my failing sense of order, my philandering metabolism, the scorching heat, and various and sundry injustices that are mine alone to bear.
And I must tell you, dear reader: your company, your kind and silly and thoughtful comments make this path I am wandering along seem much more interesting than it would otherwise be on my own.
Thank you for that. Thank you for taking a moment to visit Tollipop and staying for a story or even a spot of tea. Tea parties for two are much better than tea parties for one. And you are always very welcome to swing from my chandelier.
With that in mind, a little giveaway...two one-of-a-kind Tollipop originals inspired by another enchanting wonderland. They are quite wee (3 x 2.5 inches), making them impossibly sweet in person. If you would like to play along, simply climb through the rabbit hole and leave a comment at the bottom of this post.
And please do invite your friends! Such tea parties are always made merrier when they are shared with those we love.
