As much as I adore February, I am not sorry to see that spelling go. Especially because it is replaced with March.
March! Your name alone makes me happy. As month names go, March, May, September, and November are definitely my favorites. I kind of like October, too. There's a certain satisfaction in saying October.
But it gives me a burst of adrenalin to say March! So feisty! So spirited! Such a great combination of consonants paired with one perfectly strategic vowel.
At any rate, over the weekend I picked up something that gave me quite a thrill: this print from sfgirlbybay's Etsy shop. Isn't it lovely? I had the hardest time choosing a color, but finally settled on the charcoal grey because I like the overall graphic appeal. But seriously...the red? The aqua? The sunny yellow? They were all calling my name.
If you like what you see, you'll probably enjoy Victoria's blog as well--such lovely ideas and pretty things.
In case you're interested, I erroneously assumed this phrase was attributed to an impassioned speech given by Winston Churchill during WWII, when in reality the truth is somewhat less of a conversation piece. Still, it's good to get your facts straight.
But that's neither here nor there. What really matters is this: Keep Calm and Carry On. Every time I see these words I actually do feel calm. And I carry on. So you see?
It works.
