Once again, my intent to showcase yellow was demoted to the back of the line this week. As a result, several of today's pictures come to you from the Tollipop archives, such as this lovely specimen of creatures scooped up from Monterey Bay.
And this delicate soul, rescued by the girls while in Canada, though they were too scared to touch it.
Caroline and I are still in pursuit of the perfect cinnamon bun. We made these last night and served them for breakfast this morning. It caused a sensation, to be sure, but I cannot shake the feeling that cinnamon buns were not meant to compete for density with iridium metal.
Sometimes I wonder if my girls will get asked to prom. But then I realize I'm just projecting my own insecurities, that two generations of Lego-lovers is a mere coincidence and has nothing to do with their chances whatsoever. Right?
The last bit of light on the last bit of yellow.
Two days. Two runs. No showers. Yellow week, you deserve better than this. Incidentally, I'm quite sure I was in the middle of vacuuming when this picture was taken. It speaks volumes about my method of getting things done.

Dear reader, I hope you are having a lovely first week of March! I know it has come in like a lion in many corners of the world, but here it is beautiful, ebullient, and abundant with Spring. Of course, I've lived here long enough to know it's all smoke and mirrors, that the sun is secretly popping steroids and running on a treadmill like that Russian boxer in Rocky, gearing up to annihilate this valley in a few months' time.
But let us turn our thoughts to more pleasant matters. Next week is green! I hope you play along...and please let me know if you do!
