Dear reader, I just had a funny idea for a contest: leave the excuse you really feel like making for yourself in the comments section and I'll draw a winner and create a note with his/her words written upon it...like the one I made for Caroline's teacher above.
For example:
Please excuse Lucy from her regular duties today. She felt compelled to hide at the library.
Charlotte opted for a nice hot bath over the ennui of another meeting.
The thought of more laundry made Jane vomit. So she could not fold it.
Imagine saying exactly what's on your mind rather than having to make up some diplomatic excuse. So deliciously liberating and wicked!
Plus, it would make a lovely bookmark.
