Dear reader, since launching my quest to create one hundred dresses and, inadvertently, one hundred little stories to go with them, I have received a number of requests to gather my work into a single volume. This idea gives me no end of pleasure, and therefore I like to think about it...while driving kids to music lessons, pushing grocery carts down the cereal aisle, tripping over shoes that no one puts away.
So perhaps I will give it a go. And I've found a confederate to aid me in the attempt: my husband must have been an apprentice printer in a past life, as he gets all sweaty over things like page layouts, fonts, and the particular weight and heft of paper (a shared, if bizarre passion).
The reason I am telling you this in advance of the actual product is because I thought it would be nice to reserve a few stories exclusively for the (hypothetical) book...a little surprise for readers to anticipate. I just love good surprises, don't you?
Who knows if it will ever materialize? Roger and I are having fun with the project and that, in itself, makes it a worthy pursuit. And typically I would not allude to something so grand and yet so nebulous, except that I didn't want you to wonder why the posting of hundred dresses stories suddenly got a wee bit sporadic.
I still plan to post them, of course, but perhaps not quite with every new drawing for the next little while.
