The most astonishingly delightful package arrived in the mail recently. Rachel of Pillarboxred sent us the first installment of her One Hundred Somethings project...a darling doll named Audrey. Notice her pretty bracelet! And imagine the looks of rapture on my girls' faces and the intense debate that soon followed as to where exactly Miss Audrey should be established within the household.
It boggles the mind, but Rachel intends to make one hundred of these little sweeties...you must visit her blog and follow the fun!
In addition to the poppet, she sent some other lovely treats: this cheerful and exotic smelling heart, and some exquisite, hand-painted cards. Thank you so much, dear Rachel, for sending these early valentines to our home!
Perhaps this would be a good time to mention some other participants who are making their own one hundred somethings:
Louisa of picturebookstudios
Bee of witchetty
Erin of fairiemoon
Kristina of meadowlarkdays
I know this is not a comprehensive list by any means and if you have a 100 Somethings project up and running and would like to add your own link to the comments section, that would be lovely. It's delightful to see how others are interpreting the challenge!
And finally...it's February. February! If ever there was a time of year to visit Las Vegas, this is it. The sun is bright and beautiful, skies are a thin, clear blue, and the desert is good for what ails you. Not to be confused with the months soon to follow when small luxuries, such as breathing, will be scorched to a fine crisp.
